EPISODE 7: EVEREST BASE CAMP ON ROYAL ENFIELD MOTORBIKES
Come take a ride on this fascinating motorcycle journey to one of the harshest places on earth!
In 2018, Iain Young, Andy Hocking and Clive Marsden took a road trip on Royal Enfield motorbikes from Kathmandu in Nepal to Everest Base Camp in Tibet. From the thick, muddy roads of Nepal to the heady high-altitude plains of Tibet, learn how these three friends – all touched by cancer in some shape or form – dealt with the harsh conditions. They’ll give tips on what kit is needed including navigating road rules and Tibet’s peculiar refuelling laws. What’s even more remarkable is that Iain Young was in his 70s when he undertook the trip. You can’t get motorbiking holidays more extreme than this!
