‘AFTERSHOCK’ WINS TWO FURTHER AWARDS

I’m delighted to announce that my debut memoir, Aftershock, has been honoured with two further literary awards:
2021 Yeovil Literary Prize

An extract of Aftershock has been shortlisted in the prestigious 2021 Yeovil Literary Prize, Writing Without Restriction category after initially being longlisted on 15 August 2021.
Steve Voake was the judge. Steve is an award-winning writer and Senior Lecturer on the under and postgraduate Creative Writing courses at Bath Spa University and the Arvon Foundation.
To prevent bias, judging was done anonymously without writers’ names being disclosed.
About The Yeovil Literary Prize
Organised by the Yeovil Community Arts Association, the prestigious Yeovil Literary Prize provides an opportunity for writers from around the world to enter. It is regularly searched by agents and publishers looking for new talent.
The Yeovil Literary Prize, started in 2002, has gained recognition as an established fixture in the international literary calendar. It fulfils its aims. The response to the Prize is magnificent, with quality writing being submitted from all corners of the globe. Many talented writers thrive on the opportunity to develop their craft by competition with other writers. We are proud to offer an award to novelists, as well as for writers of work that does not fit the usual writing categories with our ‘Writing Without Restriction’.
2021 Page Turner Awards

Aftershock has made it to the finals of both the Writing Award category and the Mentorship Award category of the 2021 Page Turner Awards. The competition is open to writers worldwide. Winners will be announced in the Autumn.
